SIPO Tax Clearance Compliance

The Standards in Public Office Act 2001 creates an obligation for appointees to senior office to submit a Statutory Declaration and SIPO Tax Certificate to the Standards in Public Office Commission.

Statutory Declaration

This is a formal statement that you have complied with your tax obligations, please follow these steps:

1. Download the Statutory Declaration Form .

2. To complete the form, please book an appointment with a Solicitor, Commissioner of Oaths, Peace Commissioner or Public Notary.

You must sign the form in their presence and bring a valid photo ID (such as a passport) for verification.

3. Send the completed, signed form by email to submissions@sipo.ie.

SIPO Tax Clearance Certificate

NOTE: A standard tax clearance certificate is not valid for SIPO purposes ; you must use the specific SIPO application process. To apply for the SIPO Tax Clearance Certificate, please:

Collector-General’s Division, SIPO Tax Clearance Section, Sarsfield House, Francis Street, Limerick, V94 R972.

3. Once you receive the certificate back from the Collector-General’s Division, please email it to submissions@sipo.ie.
